EUROVISION 2023
The Ask
To produce the set elements for the new NETFLIX Game Show CHEAT – Hosted by Danny Dyer.
The Approach
This was a complex build full of Polycarbonate, rolled steel tube with LED & CNC components. Creating the podiums for the contestants and the host. We had to ensure these worked semlessly and with the overall set.
Again, as with most TV work, this was a short turnaround project, but the end product speaks for itself. A big production and visually very striking, the podiums stood up well in the large space, the thought put into the preplanning paid off with the great finish.

The Ask
After our successful 2022 build of Sam Ryder’s stage set for Eurovision we were engaged to produce sets for numerous nations including the UK.
The Approach
Having the experience of last year, this stood us in good stead for prepping the designs for the fast turn arounds. Working with the designs supplied by the client we adapted and made sure they would work on the stage for the fast move on and off, all the while creating the impact the artist wants.

We also build the presenters desk which was a prominent piece of the production, and truss coverings for the truss structures for lighting & sound. The best thing is having returning clients and building on your work together. For 2023 a large amount of the final full production was produced by SETSTAGE..
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS
CROSSROADS PETER PAN
The Ask
This project took some of the team across to Iceland for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship Final. The client wanted a centre piece for the revel of the winners Trophy.
The Approach
We built two Hex Tech Spheres, one of which was automated. This is our first automation job built from scratch in 3 Weeks!!
We also built another where sphere which We installed in Birmingham, this was used in the opening credits. A Fantastic project to be involved in and a first for us including Automation into a build. The detail and final finish on this piece was very detailed and matched up exactly.
The Ask
Approached by Crossroads again to produce the full set for Peter Pan at the London Palladium this year for Crossroads. For a build of this size timing was key and a less than usual timescale.
The Approach
For a full West End production of this scale, with lots of difficult scenic elements, we called on all our team to work long hours and involved everyone in workshop.
Elements contained LED show portals, Giant neverland tree & mushrooms and Captain Hooks ship plus much more.

LLOYDS BANK SIBOS 2023 –

The Ask
In 2023 SETSTAGE took on a whole Exhibition division, it has been an area we have always wanted to grow and in July, the time was right.
As a long-standing client of the team, it was a logical step for Lloyds to remain with the team.
The Approach
Using Lloyd’s suite of assets created by the team, we designed and installed the stand. We designed each of the assets to be modular and reused across all of Lloyds stands throughout the year.
We take on all aspects of delivering a stand, dealing with all site services, shipping, drayage, down to the dressing that gives it that finished polished look. Another successful show for Lloyds, a first with this new design, which was high commented on. Sibos is a show we have a long history with and Toronto didn’t disappoint.
The Ask
As with Lloyds, State Street are a long-standing client of the team. They asked for a total redesign due to a rebrand, which we were only happy to help.
The Approach
Working with the team on turning the new branding in to a physical stand was a challenge we really enjoyed. Creating new assets, which again we ensure can be reused and stored for future shows.
We take on all aspects of delivering a stand, dealing with all site services, shipping, drayage, down to the dressing that gives it that finished polished look. A great rebrand launch for SST, excellent feedback from all the stake holders. We are currently designing the layout for 2024 in Beijing.
STAND UP 2 CANCER – Joe Lycett Games
RHOD GILBERT GROWING PAINS SET
The Ask
NBC / Universal contacted us to make some prop items for a segment for the live Stand Up 2 Cancer broadcast event on channel 4 with quick turnaround of a week.
Following this we also made the mint green screen units for the Davina McCall segment of the show. Another wonderful event to be involved in for a very worthy cause, bringing a little lightness with the retro games. All worked and looked great on the night with great feedback from the production team.
The Ask
The production designer for the show contacted us to produce the full set for the latest series of the hit show.
The Approach
A vibrant and challenging set, with a lot of intricate light boxes & custom-made channels.
Working in all types of media, timber, steel, aluminium, polycarbonate, vinyl, print & carpet.
The timescale was tight, but it was a rewarding project once completed.
TIME SERIES 2 & HULLRASIERS SERIES 2
MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL – London series 2023
The ASK
A couple of small TV projects came to us from BBC & Channel 4. The BBC needed a set of prison gates for a location shoot for TIME series 2. Channel 4 needed a set of ‘BABY’ letters for a party segment in HULLRAISERS.
The Approach
For Time
We created the gates from steel, and applied a scenic finish to make them look rusted and like they’d always been there.
For Hullrasiers
This was a quick, easy turnaround for a client who knows they can come to us for this time-sensitive work. CNC’d from ply and sprayed in a simple white finish, it was a great fast-turnaround project for long-standing clients. Getting a precise brief makes it easier for both sides to produce what is needed on time.
The Ask
One of our existing clients came to SETSTAGE with a new one for us, to make the dugouts for both teams at the London Stadium for the MLB London series.
The Approach
We knew these had to be structural and strong. We did our research and Steel construction proved to be the best solution, we galvanised for longevity and added rubber flooring, seating, graphics, hat racks & bat stands. As baseball grows in popularity, proved by the crowds, it was great to work on something new to us and see the finished article work so well for the teams.

OPENING CEREMONY
NO TIME TO DIE PREMIER –

ENTRANCE
The Ask
As part of the opening ceremony, Setstage were contracted to build the main bull ring floor in the centre of the stadium.
The Approach
We knew this was a big task. We again did our research and planned out what the best materials were to create this huge space. Using ply board, spanning an impressive 100m x 60m. We applied a scenic paint finish to look like sand. We also made the Royal Box and the lectern for Prince Charles. It was an honour for us to be involved with the Commonwealth games on home soil.
Seeing the finished result live on television and the effect being seen across the world was a very proud moment for the whole team
The Ask
To promote the 25th James Bond film ‘No Time To Die’ at the Burlington Arcade in London, and the Premier at the Royal Albert Hall, we were honoured to be asked to make these semi-permanent structures made from mirrors.
The Approach
The structures were constructed to look like the famous gun barrel of the 007 films.
Using a Mirrored dibond fixed to a welded metal substructure, to create the faceted effect on the Arcade tunnel. For the Guest entrance, again the mirrored dibond was used, this time cutting out the shapes to create the gun barrel effect. As with most of our projects we delivered and installed to site. This one certainly had the wow factor and was a great photo op for celebrities and the public alike. The client was over the moon and knew we were the right choice to support them on both these structures.
